Volunteers are welcome at the Gibsons Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for a variety of tasks. If you are interested in any of the following, please contact us.

Tasks

orphaned-bear-cub-2015Basic Wildlife Care

  • Cleaning of cages and aviaries.
  • Washing food and water dishes.
  • Preparing food for the wildlife.

This takes place from approximately 9:00 am to 1:00 pm every day.

Handyman/Maintenance

Helping with repairs and upkeep of cages and aviaries, etc

Gardening

Weeding, trimming of bushes, cutting grass, etc.

Fundraising

Helping at our mall displays, having a yard sale, or organizing a bake sale.

Driver for Pick-Up of Wildlife

On occasion, we have to pick up an injured wild creature from one of the veterinary hospitals or from a member of the public who has no transportation. This usually has to be done within a short time of the phone call as the sooner an injured creature comes to us the better its chances of survival.
